Question: I have been looking to upgrade my phone but I still have some months left on my Alltel contract. I was advised that within four months of the end of the contract that I could upgrade without penalty; Does this hold consistent with Verizon as well?

Answer: It really depends. The Verizon/Alltel integration is going slowly at with different zones coming on all the time. I would tell you, as a rule of thumb, that if you have not heard the your Alltel service is not Verizon now, you are not able to upgrade to Verizon service yet. You should shortly though. I would guess that things would be fully intergraded by year end.

Question: I already have a plan with verizon (family) and need new phone to replace a broken one. will verizon activate my phone? will this phone be sent and uable on my existing account? i do not want the web features and email that normally goes with blackberry, just a regular phone to text and talk, not the extra $30.00 per month feature

Answer: The only way an existing customer can get the phone at a discounted price is to upgrade/renew an eligible phone line / plan. Do you know if you are eligible for a contract renewal / upgrade? All you need to do to find this information out is to call your carrier's customer service number and ask for your contract renewal date. You can find their customer service number on your last phone bill. This phone will be preprogrammed before it is shipped and activated upon receipt for you. You can purchase this phone without a contract renewal or extension. The cost would be $529.99. When you find the Storm on our site, click the "order now" link next to the phone. This opens a pull down section where you can click the green "buy phone only" link. If you do upgrade your account you will be required to purchase the web and e-mail plan for $30 a month for a minimum of 6 months. If at your seventh month you would like to discontinue this service you may do so at that time.

Answer: As we are an on-line only retailer for Verizon, I really don't know what the local stores are selling this phone for. Traditionally we are lower priced, often times dramatically, than what you find at your local retailer. I encourage you to compare and hopefully save by purchasing through our site.

Question: can this phone be bought without a plan?does this phone carry a simcard? is this phone unlocked,if no can it be purchase unlocked?itravel internationally and would like 2 purchase a simcard in the country that i travel too.

Question: My two years is up and I was just sent a discount for $100.00 can I also use this as well? This is all new to me w/ a Blackberry and there are two plans I'm looking at *Nationwide Connect w/ Unlimited Minutes, Messaging & Data - $129.99 (or) *Nationwide Premium - Unlimited Minutes, Messaging & V CAST - $139.99 Both say Unlimited is this for very thing on that line. *What is Data....? *What is V Cast .....? I have 1 more phone that I want to share the Mins. with and What will that cost extra I have the phone and it is a razor or do I get a free phone to up date that as well? Last Question: What if I need help with the Storm or something breaks, will not work... Who do I talk to, call etc. Look forward to talking to someone about get The Storm... Thanks, Jeff

Answer: Hello! I am going to ask you a few questions, and how you answer these questions is going to depend on how I answer your questions. Following the questions, I will answer the V-Cast vs Data Plan segment.

Are you a current Verizon customer?
Is your Razr under contract with Verizon?
Is it eligible for a contract extension?
What plan are you on currently?

For a BlackBerry, you will need a data plan. More or less, this is Verizon's way of terming the plans they have for "smartphones" like Blackberry's. V-Cast plans are internet / e-mail plans for regular cell phones like your Razr. Does that make sense?

Now, if you want to share minutes with another phone, all shared phones will have to be on a family plan. They will share the minutes, but the data plan will be purchased / linked to the specific smartphone. If your Razr phone is on a Verizon plan already, then your new BlackBerry Storm would be an additional line.

Finally, your discount for $100, I am not sure if you would be able to use this or not. Is it a coupon for use on Verizon's site only? Does it tell you where you can / should redeem your coupon at?

The more I go through this, the more I think it may be easier on you to call into our customer service lines and speak to our sales professionals if that is of interest for you. Otherwise, there is a good chance there will be a good share of e-mail tag. The number is 1-888-843-2380. Press "1" at the first prompt and enter call code "140407" at the second prompt.

Date: 12/20/2008 8:42:00 PM

Question: my verison contract is not up yet and i can not get their discounted price can I still get yours

Answer: As Verizon dictates our system of renewals for their network we must follow the same rules as they do. We will not be able to help you today. Please keep us in mind when you are eligible for a plan upgrade as our low phone prices usually beat anything that Verizon offers directly!

Date: 12/20/2008 4:11:00 PM

Question: CAN I GET THE PHONE EVEN IF I ALREADY HAVE A VERIZON PLAN

Answer: Yes, you can get this phone in one of two ways. If you are eligible for a plan upgrade / extension, you can upgrade / extend your plan and get this phone for $289.99. If you are not eligible for a plan extension then you could buy this phone at outright and have it activated for your account. The retail price would be $589.99.

Question: We live in Lubbock, Texas my son a college student wants to get a blackberry storm. Does verizon have service in our area or when will it be available?

Answer: It does not appear as though Lubbock, Texas is a service area for Verizon Wireless at this time. However, it does appear as though every other carrier we supply is available in the Lubbock area. At this time, the BlackBerry Storm is only available on the Verizon Network. I will tell you that LG & Samsung have some pretty cool touchscreen phones out right now on the AT&T, Sprint, and T-Mobile networks. I encourage your son to look through these phones and see if he finds one to his liking. Also, to answer your question on when Verizon will be coming to your area, they are in talks to purchase Alltel (possibly before year end). If this happens, I would guess that the Verizon network will work along side Alltel and the Storm may be available at that time. The only hard thing to tell is how long this will take to fully integrate.

Question: How can this phone be purchased (if it can) other than via the carrier (Verizon)? I have an account with Verizon already, but I have to wait until Dec. 2009 to "upgrade" my phone. Otherwise, I would have to pay $499.00. Can I purchase this phone and have it linked up to my current plan and number?

Answer: This cell phone without a new contract or contract extension is $599.99. When you find the BlackBerry Bold on our site, click the "order now" link next to the phone. This opens a new window. Inside that new window you will see right next to the phone picture "price without new account". There you will want to click "more info +". This opens a pull down section where you can click the green "buy phone only" link.

Question: CAN I GET THIS PHONE WITH THE FLEX TO FLEX PLAN OR CAN I GET A T-MOBILE PHONE WITH NO SSN

Answer: The BlackBerry Storm does is not part of the flex plan system. As far as your social security number, this is for the carriers use only. If you were to go into a brick and mortar T-Mobile store, you would have to supply this to them as well. Please trust that our site is 100% secure and that your ssn will only be used by T-Mobile for credit check purposes.
