Question: can i use blackberry without internet?

Date: 3/19/2009 11:27:00 PM

Question: Hi, ok so here is my situation. Hope you can help. If i were to buy a phone for full price, would I be able to apply it to the 2 year plan my parents use for their verizon phones? I had the samsung glyde, but someone stole it, and it broke. So my parents told me I had to buy my next phone with my own money if I wanted a new one. I agreed, and I was looking at the Blackberry but my hesitation was if I bought it, all I want it for would be text messaging and for minutes to use to call people. Can That be set up through my parents plan that they are using now? Or is that a big no no since it is a smartphone and require a new plan or individually adding features you want? Please let me know!

Answer: Was the phone that you had already on their plan or was it your own plan? If it was on your own plan and that is now canceled, you can have a phone added to their account at a heavily discounted rate. If your phone was already on their plan and you just needed to replace your phone on that plan, then yes, the phone would be full price. I recommend you call our customer service folks (or better yet your parents call) and have them quote you on the phone based on your circumstances. The number to call is 1-888-843-2380 (call code 102076).

Question: I am looking to upgrade my phone now and want one that provides the capability of accessing the internet to do Google searches( with the internet add-on package being extra). Can you tell me which of the freee phones offer the capability. It is my prime need other than the phone itself. Thanks, Pat

Answer: he BlackBerry Curve 8330 is the best free phone for internet use. However, I recommend looking at two phones that have full HTML web capabilities. They are the Samsung Omnia (http://www.lowcostcells.com/verizon_samsung-omnia-black-12645.html) and the LG Versa (http://www.lowcostcells.com/verizon_lg-versa-vx9600-12872.html).

Question: I HAVE A PRE-PAID VERIZON CHOCALATE PHONE IS THERE A WAY I CAN TRADE IT IN FOR A BLACKBERRY CURVE PHONE FREE OF CHARGE NO CREDIT CARD NEEDED.

Date: 12/9/2008 4:18:00 PM

Question: Verizon is my cell phone carrier... may I trade my cell phone for the BlackBerry Free?

Answer: No, unfortunately you are not able to trade in cell phones for new ones. You will need to be eligible for a renewal / upgrade to your plan to receive this phone. Do you know if you are eligible? Just in case your contract isn't up, it doesn't necessarily mean that you are not eligible to upgrade. You will have to call Verizon to find out your eligibility date for your account. We are not privy to that information. If you are eligible for an upgrade, you should have no problem doing this through lowcostcells.com and your phone of choice will often times be discounted significantly. Search our site for the phone that suits you best. When you find that phone, make sure you are in the "phone details" screen where it shows that phone only with all of its technical specs. Once there, simply click next to the phone picture where it says "Buy with a plan upgrade". This will take you to a new window where you will see your upgrade phone price. The following screens will help you to complete your selection.

Question: Can I pull up calls that have been deleted from my Blackberry?

Date: 11/10/2008 2:30:00 AM

Question: what if my credit is bad and what if i don't have the money right now.

Answer: You likely will not be approved by any carriers on our site. They are tightening up credit quite a bit right now. I recommend you go to our homepage (www.lowcostcells.com) and scroll to the bottom. There you will find a bunch of different ads related to cell phones. Amongst those ads there will be a few that sell prepaid wireless programs. This will be the ideal phone & plan method for you until your credit and the economy improve.

Date: 10/28/2008 8:10:00 PM

Question: I do not have a credit card. Am I still eligible?

Answer: You will need either a credit or debit card to purchase from this site. If you use your debit card, it must be backed by one of the major credit card service companies. You will know this by looking at the lower right corner of the front of the credit card. If it has a Visa or a Mastercard logo, you should be able to use that. Do you have this type of debit card?
