As far as the canceling your account and getting a new one set up, because your address and name are in their system, they would still consider you an existing customer so that won't work either. Have you thought about switching carriers? Our other carriers are offering some pretty cool new phones and amazing deals right now as well. That would get you your best deal on a phone. Make sure their service works for you and fits your needs first though.

Answer: Before I tell you how to sign up for this phone, I need to ask you one question, do you know if you are eligible for an upgrade? Only T-Mobile is going to be able to tell you that. All you have to do is call the customer service number found on your last bill and they can tell you what that date is. If you don't want to do that, you can still apply for this phone on our site. If you weren't eligible, the purchase will cancel itself and you will be notified from us via an automatic e-mail. It won't affect your plan / current contract at all and will appear as though nothing ever happened anyway.

Answer: The Samsung Behold will require that all plans associated with the Behold will have to have a data plan. However, if a third phone were picked that was different, depending on the phone it may or may not have a data plan. This third phone will probably require a messaging plan of some sort though (Approx $5/month minimum).
