Question:
any difference between this and the blackberry pearl 8100 which has been shown to be very problematic?
thanks
Answer:
There have been a few upgrades to the 8120. The biggest change is that the 8120 has built in wi-fi connectivity. When comparing the 8100 to the 8120 think of cars on their first production run. Usually that first year there are some bugs but in the second year most of that is remedied. I have not heard anything bad about the performance of the 8120.

Question:
I just want to purchase a low cost cell no contract
Answer:
Do you have existing service through T-Mobile? You must have cell phone service to make a cell phone work. If you do, an option to buy this phone without a contract is available. The phone will be $399.99 without a new T-Mobile call plan or renewal. When you find the phone, please click the "order now" link. When a new window opens look on the screen for the gray area that says "buy phone without new account. Click the "+" next to the phone where it says "buy phone without contract extension". When that text box expands, click the green box the says "buy phone only." That will take you to your check out screen.
