Hello! I would assume that because you have been with Sprint three years and you are searching for a phone, that you are no longer under contract with them. Is that correct? If you are and want to do a plan renewal / upgrade you cost on this phone for my default area code is Free after a $100 mail-in rebate ($100 due today). Sometimes this varies by area code so you will definitely want to check this out for yourself. To do this, when you clicked phone details and the BlackBerry 8330 is on your screen only, click next to the phone picture where it says "upgrade plan". This will open a new window with your phone price listed for your area code.

As long as you have a credit card and pass the credit check by the cell phone carrier, there should not be any deposit. If you are purchasing a free phone, then there shouldn't be anything that you pay until your first bill from your selected cell phone carrier.
