Question: What's the differance between the curve and the bold blackberry.

Question: I have a BB Curve. The contract is up in September. The ATT store told me I could get a new Bold now for 375. How is it that I can get it from you for 199? Who creates the 2 year contract? If it's ATT how do you then sell me the phone for less than ATT? I may be missing something. Thanks.

Answer: The BlackBerry Bold is $199.99 for customers extending their call plan for another two years. If you are not able to upgrade your account until September 2009, then this price is not applicable to your situation. In your case you would have to purchase this phone out right, without a contract extension for $599.99. If you were able to upgrade your account in September 2008, then you can purchase this phone for $199.99 with a plan upgrade. The reason there can be such a difference in your calling plan is due to the fact that we are an independent agent of each carrier and can set our pricing and profitability levels accordingly. Where we may not be as competitive on purchasing phones without contracts, we strive to be one of the lowest cost retailers anywhere when customers are purchasing new plans with a new carrier or upgrading an existing plan with their current carrier.

Date: 1/28/2009 7:12:00 PM

Answer: Please buy with confidence that your BlackBerry Bold will be 100% brand new, just as you would receive it from your local wireless retailer. Once in the details screen, click next to the new phone picture where it says "buy with a plan upgrade (you must.....carrier)". Question: Do you offer any warrenties on your phones. Can I go thru the carrier for a warranty. What happens if my phone is not working properly?

Answer: We follow all manufactures warranties on our phones. Also, you can go to a corporate owned store with a service center for most minor repairs. Major repairs will be handled all the same way no matter where you purchase your phone from (you local store or on-line). If something major happens you will have to send the phone into the manufacturer to have it repaired.

Question: I'd like to purchase the bold and another phone for my wife. We receive a government discount through my employer. Is there a way to sign up for this discount at the time of purchase or would I need to update with a local at&t store once I receive the phones? Is this something they would allow? Also are these phones new or are they refurbed models? Thanks !!

Answer: Your government discount on your rate plan can be applied after you have received your phones. All you will need to do is call AT&T once your account is set up and your phones are activated. They can then apply your rate term discount at that time. Also, unless otherwise noted, all phones are 100% brand new, just as you would receive them from your local AT&T store.

Date: 1/24/2009 11:43:00 AM

Question: Greetings. I am long term AT&T customer with a 3 phone, 3000 minute family plan. Two of the phones I have recently upgraded with the two year contract. The third phone, which is the one I use, is also eligible for upgrade and I am considering the Bold or the Iphone. What is the best deal you can give me on one of these two phones? Thank you, Steven Ivy

Answer: Because you are upgrading the third phone of the family plan and not the two primary phones, the Bold is going to be $349.99 for upgrade customers. At this time, we do not sell the iPhone so I will not be able to quote you on that phone. Also, as this is just one phone being upgraded on the family plan, please call 1-888-843-2380 (call code 115849) to place your order.

Date: 1/23/2009 3:09:00 PM

Question: My contract has expired. Do I loose my roll over minutes My wife is on my plan she wants to keep her phone Do you have to purchase a program for the GPS

Answer: Though your contract has expired it still works just as it did before. The only reason you are contracted in is due to the fact that they want to ensure that they get the price of the phone back out of the plan. The reason a phone is free is because the cost is netted down with the guarantee that you will be with them long enough to recoup the phone down the road.

If your wife wants to keep her phone but you want to upgrade, what you will do is renew the contract under your phone line only. She then would still technically be out of contract. That way, if some day she wanted a new phone she could renew her phone line and get a heavily discounted phone. If you are just going to renew the one line, you will want to call your order in to 1-888-843-2380 (call code 115587).

The GPS program is extra. It costs an additional $9.99 per month.

Question: Can your blackberry work in Nigeria?

Answer: To purchase a phone from our site you must also purchase a calling plan within the United States. I am not sure about what other calling plan you would need to make this phone work in Africa. We really only know about the U.S. I encourage you to contact AT&T directly and ask them this question. They will be able to guide you down the best path.

Date: 1/21/2009 2:46:00 PM

Question: Hi, I am currently an at&t customer with a family plan consisting of 2 lines. I saw the promotion of 149.99 for the blackberry bold. In the same time, I want to add a new line to my family plan, so it will be 3 in the future. Will this price of 149.99 be valid if I add another line?

Answer: You will not have to pay full price for this phone. However, because we don't have a great way of adding a line via our site, you will simply need to call our customers service agents at 1-888-843-2380 (call code 111833). The will be able to give you your "add a line" price for the BlackBerry Bold as well as place your order for this additional line if you so chose to do so.

Date: 1/21/2009 8:55:00 AM

Question: Can I get the same offer at an AT&T store? Is there a way to pay extra for the phone and not sign a 2-year deal? What is the top selling & most highly rated PDA by AT&T?

Answer: I am not sure what price your local AT&T store is at. We are online only and therefore set our own prices on phones with plans. Typically, we are much cheaper than what the stores sell them for with the same package.

At this time, we only sell cell phones with 2 year cell phone plans or plan renewals.

I would tell you that the BlackBerry Curve is the highest selling AT&T PDA. Part of that is because it has been around so long that everyone knows it and recognizes it. The bold has only been out a few months but is increasingly growing in popularity as it becomes more and more recognized. The Bold is what I would buy if I were switching to AT&T right now.

Date: 1/19/2009 7:41:00 PM

Question: i am already under at&t contract. how much do you charge for a new blackberry bold.

Answer: This phone without a new plan or plan renewal is $599.99. When you find the Bold on our site, click the "order now" link next to the phone. This opens a new window. Inside that new window you will see right next to the phone picture "price without new account". There you will want to click "more info +". This opens a pull down section where you can click the green "buy phone only" link.

Date: 1/5/2009 2:49:00 PM

Question: Hi. Trying to decide between the BB Curve 8300 and The BB Bold 9000. I can see and try the Curve at the Verizon store nearby. Where can I see the Bold? I really would like to look at it, try it, see if it is something I am comfortable with using before purchasing it. Can I run the plan thru Verizon (current cell carrier) or do I have to use AT&T? What is the return policy? I look forward to hearing from you. Best-

Answer: You may see the BlackBerry Bold at any AT&T store. Yes, you do have to have AT&T service to use the BlackBerry Bold. They are both great phones! I don't think you would be dissatisfied with either but do believe you are making the right moves by comparing them first. Also, you will want to compare the Verizon service versus the AT&T service and decide which fits your needs the best. As far as our return policy, I believe you will find it very customer friendly. You may read it at the following link: http://www.lowcostcells.com/return-policy.html.

Question: I have been an existing customer for many years now and my family contract is now expired. I am willing to provide an 2 year extension if I can receive the Blackberry Bold an the AT&T asking price of $249.99 along with an $100.00 rebate for a total cost of $149.99. If you can provide me with the Bold as stated above please call me at or better yet, send me the Bold (Black Color). Again, I will extend my contract for 2 years based on the same plan that I currently have. Thank you,

Answer: We are unable to see your account as we are simply a sales arm for our many cell phone carriers. How our system works is that you submit your order to us and we forward it onto the specific carriers (in this case AT&T). The carrier then reviews your information and passes back their response to us (approved, denied, please provide customer ________, etc.). Once approved, we then ship your phone to you and inform AT&T of the renewal. If more information is needed from AT&T, we will contact you right away via the e-mail address you submit on your order.

AT&T offers contract extension customers, via lowcostcells.com, the BlackBerry Bold at $199.99 per phone after rebate. This is pretty common of carriers for new, hot phones on the market. They are often a little higher for renewing customer rather than to new customers.

Please go to the following link: http://www.lowcostcells.com/att_blackberry-bold-black-12558.html. Next to the picture of the BlackBerry Bold, you will see an underlined phrase that says "Buy with a plan upgrade (you must.... carrier)". Click there. This will take you to a new window where you will see the phone, a suggested plan, and a green arrow to be click to add the phone and plan to your cart. Please note that you can change that plan to the call plan that fits your needs the best. To do so "click in the plan box where it says "More AT&T Plans". When everything is to your liking, please add the phone to your cart and proceed through the check out. If you ever need any assistance or just want to order by phone please call 1-888-843-2380 (call code 109653 when prompted).

Question: I am interested in ordering a Blackberry Bold. Your current price is $249.99 and AT&T offers a $100 mail-in rebate. Do I qualify for the upgrade (with a 2-yr. contract extension) at your price with the AT&T mail-in rebate or is your price with free 2-day shipping only for new customers.

Answer: This BlackBerry Bold for contract extension customers is $299.99 with a $100 mail-in rebate. So the phone will net out to be just $199.99 after rebate. Shipping will be $9.99 as well. To renew your plan with this phone please go to the following link: http://www.lowcostcells.com/att_blackberry-bold-black-12558.html. When there, click next to the phone picture where it says "buy with plan upgrade (you must....carrier)". That will take you to you screen with your price and plan. This is also the screen where you can add this phone to your cart and proceed with the check out process.

Question: Hello, currently i have storm from VZ. i want to switch to ATT bold device. a Month ago i own blackberry 8700 device once 2 yrs contract with att is done i moved to VZ. Iam not happy with storm to want to go abck to attt with bold. will i be allegible for the new csutomer discount for bold? ifi can get itfor $149 i am planning to take it.

Answer: We won't be able to answer this question for you as you are marginal on your time frame to again be a "new" customer. If you are set on changing phones / carriers, you could sign up for the Bold & AT&T on our site. Then wait to see if you are accepted or not. If you are accepted, go ahead and cancel your Verizon service, but don't cancel that service until you know that you are indeed getting the Bold.

You are under no obligation to purchase or change anything simply by calling in for this quote. The number to call is 1-888-843-2380. Press "1" at the first prompt and enter call code "119062" at the call code prompt.

Answer: If you are eligible for an upgrade from AT&T Wireless than you can upgrade to any phone on our site with the AT&T logo next to it. To find your upgrade price, click next to the phone where it says "phone details". In the new screen that refreshed go next to the phone where it says "buy as a family plan upgrade (you must....)". If you click there a new window pops up. This will have the phones with your extension price.

Question: I have an existing att account. I am due for an upgrade in feb. how can I go about purchasing a bold now?

Answer: With an extension this phone is $199.99. If you purchase it today, this phone is going to be $599.99. Are you sure your don't want to just wait a month? Typically phones only decrease in cost as time progresses too. There is a chance that this phone will be less in February. And though I can't guarantee it, I wouldn't guess it to go up any by then either.

Inside that new window you will see right next to the phone picture "price without new account". There you will want to click "more info +". Question: I am currently a AT & T customer, I like to buy the Black berry Bold, how much it cost me?

Answer: Do you know if your cell phone contract has expired and you are eligible to renew / upgrade your existing plan? Only eligible plans can be upgraded with a new cell phone. The only one that can tell you if you are eligible for an upgrade is your cell phone plan carrier. We are not privy to that information as there is personal information involved. We can simply only enter sign-up and upgrade information for customers. You should be able to find your carrier's customer service number on your latest monthly bill. If you are available for an upgrade, you should have no problem doing this through lowcostcells.com. Search our site for the phone that suits you best. When you find that phone, make sure you are in the "phone details" screen where it shows that phone only with all of its technical specs. Once there, simply click next to the phone picture where it says "Buy with a phone upgrade". This will take you to a new window where you will see your upgrade phone price. The following screens will help you to complete your selection. If you are not eligible for an upgrade, the phone will be $599.99.

Question: I have AT&T now and it is not time to resign contract on my number yet. How much would this phone cost me? My wife is ready for a new contract as is my son, all part of my family plan. Would it be cheaper to go through them or just buy it.

Answer: To answer your first question, to buy the Blackberry Bold without a cellular contract / renewal would be $599.99. Now as far as renewing the other two lines on your account, I think this would be easiest if done through our customer service representatives via our toll free number. The number is 1-888-843-2380. When prompted, please enter call code 126109. Before you call in though, please have an idea as to which phones you are looking at for your son and wife. Renewal prices are always a great deal, sometimes as good as being a new customer. The customer service agents will be able to get your account renewals squared away.

Question: is this black berry like a computer can i down load music to A mp3 player or down load picture pictures from phone

Answer: The BlackBerry Bold is a smartphone (PDA phone). It functions much like a mini computer. I would tell you that it could not replace a computer though in its ability. It does connect to the internet and e-mail servers. As far as MP3's, yes, it does have a built in media player. Combined with the internet, you will be able to download songs and play them on your phone.

Question: My plan is presently with centeninel what do I do?

Answer: The first thing I would do would be to call Centeninel and see how long your contract period is for or if you are out of contract already. If you are not out of contract, I would finish it out first with them to avoid penalty. If you are out of contract, all you need to do is find a phone and carrier of choice that work with your zip code (geographic area) and order them via our site. Finally, do not end your service with Centeninel until you have physically received your phone from us.
