Question: is the blackberry pearl 8130 a better phone than the palm centro.or is theythe same.if so whats the difference.

Answer: I would tell you that it is a matter of preference on which phone is better than the other. It all depends on how you will use it. If you are really into using the camera feature, BlackBerry wins hand down as it is 2.0 megapixels versus 1.3 on the Palm. If you view and edit a lot of Microsoft Office products via your phone, Palm wins as you can edit and view MS Office products (Word, Excel, etc.); where as the BlackBerry is simply a viewing screen. Palm is a touch screen and comes with a stylus. That may or may not be an added feature you like. The BlackBerry phone is better if you are better at typing as you would texting on a cell phone; where as the Palm phone has a full QWERTY keyboard more similar to that of a computer.

I have placed two links below that will take you to the phone details screen of each phone. This will help you further analyze the phones to discover which is better for you.

Question: Is this the same phone that Sprint sells as the Palm Centro Onxy with Mapquest available ?

Answer: The phone you have chosen appears to be the Palm Centro Black. There is a Palm Centro Onxy Black as well. Best of all, at least in my default area code I use for site viewing, the Palm Centro Onxy Black is FREE today! If you did not see that under the list of Sprint phones, I encourage you to instead go to the search feature on lowcostcells.com and enter the word "Centro". There you will find all the color options for the Palm Centro available via our site!

I also went to search out the availability of Mapquest on Palm Centro phones via the Sprint network. I didn't see anything specifically referring to any special Mapquest feature. However, this phone feature HTML web browsing with applicable plans. One using a Palm Centro and its Blazer Web Browser could log on to the Mapquest site and use it from there.
