Assuming your phone is over two years old and you have not renewed your contract, you should not have any trouble switching from AT&T to another carrier. You will want to / need to confirm directly with AT&T first that your contract has expired just to make sure that you are not in any type of violation on your account before canceling. Since we are online only, there is no real way for anyone to show you how the phone works. However, an owners manual is provided that will help you in figuring out this phones operation. Answer: When you order a phone from AT&T it will be activated a day or two after receipt. You are allowed to keep the same number and will be given that option during the check out process. As far as company discounts, this is strictly done with AT&T after receipt. You will just need to call their direct customer service number and work through any plan discounts with them. We simply only sign people up for the plans and ship their new phones two them as we are an independently owned operation separate of any of our carriers.

Answer: All you have to do is renew / upgrade your current account. You will need to do this via our customer service representatives at 1-888-843-2380 (code # 126615 when prompted). Doing this by phone will allow you to just upgrade your phone. To do this on the website would cause you to upgrade both phones. She shouldn't have any trouble keeping her current phone if you call in.

Answer: Easy answer and one that I think you were looking for...."No". There is an option to purchase this during the check out screen but the phone works just fine without it. You can always contact your carrier down the road if you decided that it is something you want to add later on.

Answer: All phones featured on the website are for new customers only where service is provided (by zip code). There are always select zip codes (especially in rural areas) where the plan may not be offered. As far as for a cell phone upgrade, sometimes the carrier offers the same deal on the upgrade as they do for the new customers. Other times they do not. For my default zip code, the LG Vu CU920 looks like it will be FREE as well for customer upgrades / extensions and will work in the same manor as a new contract would!

The best way to get to the upgrade feature is to search for the CU920 on our site. When the phone is listed via the search results click "see details". Once clicked, the screen will refresh and the phone will be featured exclusively. To the right of the phone picture you will see a link for the upgrade option. Click where it says "Buy with a plan upgrade (You must be eligible for upgrade from the carrier)." That will take you to a new screen where you can proceed with the order.

Answer: Do you know if your contract expired and are eligible for an upgrade? If so, select the phone of your choice. In this instance it looks like you want the LG Vu CU920. Once you click the "order now" button next to the phone, a new screen should open showing the phone with a suggested plan. To the left of the phone there is a button that says "Renew / upgrade your phone". Click that and the page should refresh to this option. Make sure that the plan is what you would like it to be or change it by selecting the "more plans" button where the plan is described. Now click the green arrow labeled "add to cart." The new screen that appears is the screen where you will pick available phone accessories and plan features to customize this cell phone and plan to your liking. When satisfied with your accessories and features chosen (also make sure to have entered your current phone number), click "continue." The next screen allows you to review your selections. If satisfied, simply click "checkout." The rest of the way you just need to enter your information for the order to proceed to finalization. If accepted, your phone should arrive in a few days!
