I am with alltel now just looking to buy the phone do i still get it for 229.99? and also shown by the pict do this phone have the chrome on the back?

This phone has a black back cover and is $349.99 for upgrade customers to Alltel.

I AM A PREPAID CUSTOMER AND TRYING TO EXSTABLISH A ACCOUNT BUT THE DOWN PAYMENT WITH ALLTEL IS TO HIGH I HAVE BEEN ON PREPAID FOR 3 YEARS CAN I JUST CREATED A ACCOUNT WITHOUT PAYING THIS AMOUNT. HOW IS ALLTEL HELPING ME WHEN THEY ARE BURNING MY POCKET. WHAT OTHER PLAN CAN THEY HELP ME TO GO ON CONTRACT WITHOUT PAYING THIS AMMOUNT
Answer:
Our recommendation is to try a different carrier to see if you get a different result on your deposit. Short of that, I am not sure what to tell you besides that you will have to stay on prepaid service.

Can you get a phone with out a contract

On our site, Alltel is the only company that we are not allowed to sell the phone only on. It must be accompanied by the purchase of either a new call plan, an added line to a family plan, or by renewing your current call plan. To find your eligibility date, we encourage you to call Alltel so that you know when it is your time to be eligible to upgrade that phone. When that time comes, we will be more than happy to upgrade your phone to any Alltel Wireless approved phones on our site.

I have been with you all for two years I have never received an upgrade from you all. The only phone I received from you all was the the free pink LG and later I added a line for my husband. But every time I as for my upgrade I get different date. In May of 2008 I out right bought myself and husband a razor from walmart and he seller told me that my upgrade was in October. I called and now someone telling me it is in May. Please review my account and get if right when my up grade is going to be.

To find out your eligibility date you will need to call your carrier and only they will be able to tell you this date. The easiest way to find their number is to find it on your last phone bill that you paid. The carrier is the one who your contract is through and not through any independent retailer such as the one at Wal-Mart, the others that told you the different dates, or our site - lowcostcells.com. You will want to ask your contract holder directly when both your contract expires and when each line is eligible for a plan upgrade.

Question:
Two quick questions. Is the Alltel Touch Pro similar to the Sprint version, or is more like the handicapped Verizon Touch Pro? Also, if I buy this phone from Alltel, will there be any problems connectivity wise if Alltel does get taken over by Verizon? Thanks.
Answer:
In looking at the technical specs of the two phones, it looks like they are the exact same (less what is needed to run on each network exclusively). The run on the same operating system, have the same memory, same camera specs, wifi connectivity, etc. As far as any glitches if Alltel is purchased by Verizon, there are no planned issues. The goal is always to have everything work streamline perfect. In real life, from time to time, there are glitches. Long story short, nothing is anticipated but nothing is perfect either. I wouldn't let it scare me away from Alltel by any means.

if i want to buy the htc touch pro phone how much do i hav to pay for the phone w/o a plan? i want to buy it straight out

For whatever reason, Alltel Wireless is the only carrier that we are not able to sell phones without plans so at this time I regretfully can't quote you an outright cost.
